“The Russian -Ukrainian conflict from 2014 is ongoing in 2024. Novosibirsk, the city in which I lived most of my life, is located far in the country’s periphery, at a distance of 3,500 km from the front zone. How much has it changed since the beginning of the full-scale invasion?
I look at all the posters advertising contract military service, all the propaganda materials, all the ‘Z"-letters the state introduced to symbolize the agression promoted as “liberation”. The abundance of visual materials one can spot everywhere — on vehicles and buildings, fences and lamp posts — eliminates, disguises, and camouflages the actual presence of war.
The Siberian megapolis, on the other hand, appears stuck, hiding in the rear. I would like to wake the city up — deafen it with the real sounds of the war that it has never heard, but in which participates.”

My project consists of a book with photographs and drawings about what to do when your world is inexplicably turned upside down, when white becomes black and perhaps form loses its original content.
This is a journey into a dark forest: a soldier’s dream in a trench, a diary of existential survival and a chronicle of the fight against absurdity.
I live in Siberia, and my project combines the terrible camp past of this region with a disturbing present. There must be a refuge somewhere in the midst of it all.
The project is called “Teplushka”; in Russian it means a ‘heated freight van’. People (mainly soldiers and prisoners) but livestock also were transported this way in Soviet times.
Teplushka is a simple house, a primary shelter, while at the same time symbolizing the State`s repression of its own citizens.

the world ontologically contains madness, if you look around. sketches from everyday life are mixed with observations of patients in a mental hospital, which creates the impression of an impending catastrophe.

Dance improvisation in two different places, the first is a new building under construction — a Buddhist center, the second is a permitted research institute. Two realities, the old and the new, dictate to the dancer how to move and what to experience. This gesture is a metaphor for how society, the environment can influence our personality and how we perceive reality. The dance in the video invites us to look at a situation in which a person is deprived of a choice, he must “dance”, that is. What will he dance?

“Abstractorium” is a conditional part of brain, where exist non-fixed memoirs, impressions, even a storage of visual waste. The idea of the project is to create and to analyze such a storage. Who is the owner of the storage? It is as well a search of a border between real and unreal, abstract and specific experience. A search of reaction and errors, as well. What is waste in human psychic life, its transition from one condition to another? How and where does it happen? Why what can not a priori waste for us is stored in that place? We are suggesting a number of questions by our video. This is a rebus from image, text and sound, which solution is to be found individually for everyone.

The person and his existential condition are the main subject of this video project, we investigate a duality of a nature of man, interrelation and violation of internal and external space of the personality. A person changes gender roles under a influence of the extreme reasons, his behavior doesn’t depend on his desires. This work had no task to concretize the borderline reason in which the character is shipped, probably it is a question of absence of freedom, external threat, sharp loneliness, mental weakness. The work purpose is possibility to get some experience of the person realizing all limitation of the bodys, mental duality, persistence of processes and the changes connected with this aspect. Complex of feelings result from a reflection, is a hopelessness and intensity, uncertainty, melancholy.
